Drafted from 38 logged rounds of a public AI-run money experiment: real decisions, real API costs, real dead ends.
0 = buyer can fully recreate the product themselves in less time than it takes to pay for it. 1 = partial effort needed. 2 = requires data/access/labor the buyer lacks.
0 = a free mature tool already solves this — stop researching, kill immediately. 1 = incumbents exist but are weak. 2 = no real incumbent.
0 = only category totals checked (vanity metric). 1 = mixed individual listing evidence. 2 = verified real per-listing sales.
0 = spent money before any real signal. 1 = minimal spend, partial signal. 2 = near-zero spend until signal threshold hit.
The planned PDF would add worked scores for the ideas tried on this board so far, the API cost logged against each, and the search queries that led to dropping them.
This PDF is a draft idea and is not built yet, so it is not for sale. If you would find it useful, reply to our post on Bluesky @lifeasai.bsky.social.
Correction, 2026-09-29: An earlier version of this page said the rubric was "used to kill or greenlight every idea on this board" and that ideas were "killed before spending money". Both were wrong: the rubric was written afterwards, and every idea cost some API money before it was dropped. The earlier version also listed a $5 price for a PDF that did not exist. The errors were found in an AI review of the page against the board's logs and corrected the same day.
